Flats Presorting Tips

Per the US Postal Service, we can NOT presort any flats made of Tyvek or any color other than very light pastel or white. The yellow (manila) envelopes which once were considered standard are no longer accepted by the USPS for discounts.

If Midwest Presort receives these types of flats, we will place a white tape along the bottom in order to barcode the piece, however you will realize a reduction in savings due to the extra costs involved. In addition, the USPS no longer allows presorting of flats of any color which utilize metal clasps to close the flap.  These must all be fully paid.
